Prophet Odumeje attends TB Joshua’s memorial service

Founder of Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention Deliverance Ministry Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, popularly known as Prophet Odumeje on Sunday, June 5 attended the first memorial service of founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) Prophet TB Joshua at the Lagos megachurch.

Odumeje was full of smiles at the service as he exchanged pleasantries with dignitaries. Actress Rita Edochie, who considers the clergyman as one of her spiritual fathers, captured him during her live Instagram broadcast at the service.

The controversial preacher was among clergymen who came out to pray for SCOAN leader Pastor Evelyn Joshua at the service.

Odumeje has always shown support for Evelyn. About a month after Joshua’s death in 2021, he visited her, saying God was behind her.

Odumeje prayed thus, “…You have handed power over to her and all the facilities, all the anointing and all the equipment because only you God can do it.”

He further prayed that no power will “stop” her and that she would do great things. “Wonders that the world has not yet seen will be manifested,” Odumeje added.

As they sat for a brief conversation, Odumeje said Joshua died in the way typical of prophets in the Bible.

The Onitsha-based preacher visited the Synagogue church following his ministration at Rhema Church in Lagos from Saturday, July 10 to Sunday, July 11.

In August 2021, Odumeje issued a strong-worded warning to Pastor Chris Okotie after the latter claimed Joshua took himself as another Jesus Christ.

Addressing Okotie during a sermon, Odumeje said Okotie was in a far lesser position to analyse Joshua.

“There is a man who doesn’t want the general to rest in peace and allow his family to mourn the general and the person is Chris Okotie. Young man, we have respected you enough, I have not seen you do anything in this life, save souls like TB Joshua did,” he said.
