Why I quit football to pursue music career – Pasuma

Fuji musician Pasuma has revealed why he quit playing professional football to pursue a music career.

The singer disclosed his reason in a recent interview with actress Iyabo Ojo on the Gold Room podcast.

Pasuma said he decided to go into music because he was not chosen to play at the World Cup.

“I was a footballer, so I was invited for Kodak but I decided to go into music because I wasn’t picked to go to Kodak for the World Cup then so I now said I want to be a musician straight. I was a footballer before,” he said in parts.

Born Wasiu Alabi, Pasuma started writing his own songs in 1984 after being inspired by his role model K1 de Ultimate who released his first album titled TALAZO 84 in 1984.

He won the Best International Music Video 2021 by Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards (HAPA).
