GROUNDBREAKING!! 29-Year-Old Nigerian Man Becomes Youngest Senior Lecturer In UK University

After five years of being an assistant professor in Nigeria, 29-year-old Nigerian man, Salihu Dasuki becomes youngest senior lecturer in Sheffield Hallam University UK.

Dasuki who graduated with a first class degree in Information Technology from Eastern Mediterranean University, North Cyprus at age 21, went ahead to bag both Masters and PhD at Brunel University, UK, in 2012.

At the age of 24, Dasuki was already an assistant profession in a university in Nigeria.

I have been an assistant professor in Nigeria for 5 years before the elevation…since when I was 24.”

Taking to his Twitter page, the now senior lecturer of computing at Hallam University , Dasuki made the big announcement saying;

“By Allah’s grace, not only am I the youngest, I resume teaching as a senior lecturer of computing at Sheffield Hallam University UK.”

Dasuki has also revealed interest to help grow the educational system in Nigeria by giving out some books to universities in the country.

” I want to contribute these books to any CS department in a Nigerian University.”
