Abi threatens legal action over rumour her husband influenced BBNaija eviction

The management of Big Brother Naija season 11 housemate Abisola “Abi” Ayoola has threatened  legalaction over reports alleging that her husband, Alex, contacted Big Brother to influence her eviction from the  reality TV show.

Abi was evicted alongside Oluwaseyifunmi “Araga” Sosanya during the Week 7 live show on Sunday. Their exits reduced the number of housemates competing for the N160 million grand prize to 14.

Following her eviction, reports circulated online alleging that Alex had contacted Big Brother over his wife’s participation in the show.

In an Instagram post on Monday, Abi’s management dismissed the claim, describing it as “false, baseless and completely unverified.”

“We are aware of a publication currently circulating online making claims about Abi’s eviction and alleging an incident involving her husband and Big Brother,” the statement reads.

“Abi’s management strongly condemns the publication and the deliberate spread of false information concerning her and her family.”

The management called on those circulating the report to take it down and stop further publication or distribution of the claims.

“Appropriate legal action will be considered against anyone who continues to publish or circulate this falsehood,” it added.

“Abi’s journey continues, and so does our commitment to protecting her name and reputation.”

Abi had a notable run in the competition, winning the Head of House title twice in Weeks 4 and 6.

She was among 13 housemates put up for eviction in Week 7 following a nomination twist involving hidden envelopes. Keivo found the envelope containing immunity, while Abi and Araga were eventually identified as the two housemates with the fewest public votes.

The 2026 season, tagged “Show Ya Sef”, premiered on July 26 with 24 housemates competing for a ₦160 million prize package, comprising ₦100 million in cash and an SUV.

Following Abi and Araga’s eviction, 14 housemates remain in the competition.
