MRH Magazine August 2020 Issue – BNaija Lockdown Season 5 Housemates

Prince
Nelson Enwerem Prince is a 24-year-old entrepreneur from Abia. Currently living in Lagos, he is a jack-of-all-trades whose portfolio includes modelling, fashion designing and interior decoration. He enjoys active sports and reading about ancient religions and African history. He has also been a winner of Mr. Nigeria and competed in the Mr. World competition. He promised to bring lots of trouble and we are ready for it all.

WHAT WE THINK:

Prince is a bit of everything in the house and he’s playing the game 100% without losing his personality.
He interacts with everyone, gives his best during tasks, clowns around and have fun.
Prince maturity is top notch, he’s had issues with other housemates where he would have blown things up but would rather keep quiet or at best explains how he feels and walks away. We think he respects his “love interest “ , Tolanibaj. He doesn’t flirt around other girls and looks out for her too.

Laycon

Surely his nickname should be ‘Laycon of Lagos’. Olamilekan “Laycon” Agbeleshe, who lit his way into the house with his battery-powered sweatshirt is a 26-year-old singer and rapper from Lagos who has spent all of his time, well, in Lagos. Laycon is no small artist as his track, ‘Fierce’ with Reminisce, stayed on music charts for months. The graduate of Philosophy from the University of Lagos describes himself as a sexual enthusiast (what does that even mean) who is open and ready to have fun in the house.

WHAT WE THINK:

Small but might as the street of Twitter call him, Laycon is one interesting housemate who reminds himself daily of why he’s on the show.
He doesn’t take things to heart and hardly even get into arguments with other housemates, always calm and calculated.
Laycon is such a force when it comes to what he’s passionate about, rapping. He’s shown the world his talent on several occasions during their tasks.
Despite all , we like how he doesn’t allow the Erica thing get in the way of his relationship with Erica’s man in the house, Kiddwaya. He always has the right things to say at the right time.
Laycon is also one of the smartest in the house.
We again think he really wants to be more than friends with Erica but seeing she only wants his friendship, he’s managing the situation the best way he could.

Kiddwaya

Terseer Kiddwaya (27) is self-employed and comes from Benue State. He describes himself as confident, good looking, ambitious, a daredevil who is highly motivated. He also really hates spiders. He anticipates a better and crazier 2020 with his time in the house. He says he is a mixture of confidence and arrogance whose goal is to bring fun back into the House.

WHAT WE THINK:
First thing you would observe about Kidd is his nonchalant attitude. He doesn’t take things to mind. He’s about the only person who knows how to manage anger and stress best.
Despite his wealthy background we think his competitive spirit is top notch. He’s definitely one of the strongest contenders on the show.
Another interesting and impressive aspect of Kidd is how he’s moved from being a flirt to being a one woman man, that’s quite commendable. Kidd is one person who would want to take up any role even if he’s not familiar with it so his team could win a task. He’s definitely smart too.

Dorathy
Dorathy definitely brought all the boys to her yard with her milkshakes. Dorathy Bachor is a 24-year-old entrepreneur from Lagos. She is all about sass, loves to make people laugh and doesn’t like proud people. Dorathy is also the owner of SHOPFORME – a procurement company in Nigeria. Dorathy says she doesn’t let anyone get to her and is here to live her best life and have the best time in the house.

WHAT WE THINK:
Simply put, the realest on the show. Dorathy has been this sweet and funny fella in the house who gets along with everyone since day one. She is going to be amongst the top 5! We really like her friendship with Ozo. Dora sees trouble and runs away, that’s how calm and peaceful she’s been on the show. Her contributions during their tasks makes everyone want to be a part of her team. Safe to say she gets along with everyone on the show.
You have to give it to her for always walking away whenever she finds herself in a triangle.

Nengi
Rebecca “Nengi” Hampson (22) is an entrepreneur from Bayelsa State, Nigeria. She is a former model and MBGN Top 5 contestant who loves learning new things, having fun, travelling, taking on new adventures, and being true to herself. She studied communications at the University of Port Harcourt. She also loves good food and people who are down to earth. Nengi is ready to show her smarts and more.

WHAT WE THINK:

We think Nengi is really playing her cards right.
Nengi is one girl that forgets her fine girl matter and focus during tasks. She says her mind when sad or being provoked and she moves on. One thing for sure, Nengi keeps away from breaking the house rules and that is super smart.

Erica

Ngozi “Erica” Nlewedim is a 26-year-old actress and commercial model from London, England. She loves dressing up to go out with friends, drunk-dancing in front of the mirror and doesn’t like people who don’t maintain personal hygiene. She returned to Lagos after studying screen acting at the Met Film School in London. She has produced a short film with a team in Birmingham and appeared in the movie, ‘Hire a Woman’.

WHAT WE THINK:

Somehow Erica reminds us of Nina from season 3; Innocent looks and likeable personality. We think she’s naturally a peaceful
We think she genuinely likes Kidd. She also gives her best during tasks and is the only female housemate with the most monetary wins so far on the show. Erica knows how emotional she is and tries to iron out her differences with other housemates as soon as possible. A lot has been thrown at her in the house but she’s been doing a great job managing every situation. We also think she genuinely likes Laycon as a friend and nothing more, that we also respect.

Ozo
He was the first housemate we saw and we are not even mad. Ozoemena “Ozo” Chukwu is a 27-year-old consultant and entrepreneur from Imo State. He’s worked with a UEFA Federation in Europe. He enjoys watching documentaries and TV shows. He is also a first-class Economics graduate and he plans to bring a lot of mischief to the house.

WHAT WE THINK:
Ozo is a complete gentleman.
Ozo’s leadership skills is like no other in the house. He calculates his every move and doesn’t talk when not necessary.
But we think he needs to come out of his shell and have fun. He seems to genuinely like Nengi and we commend his persistence towards her.
Finally, Ozo is a peaceful person. He likes it when there’s Peace in the house and we like that.

Lucy:

Lucy could actually pass for the mother of the house; she’s mature and takes care of their kitchen and food like a mother would.
Being naturally a loud person, she often comes off as a nag to other housemates but we think she’s only being misunderstood. But then she needs to also choose her battles, it’s not every issue that deserves a reaction.
We like house she ensures everywhere is always tidy.

BrightO:

Bright is actually the most interesting and perhaps entertaining person on the show. He knows exactly what he’s doing. It’s a game and he’s playing his cards right. He doesn’t take things nor anyone seriously. People are naturally drawn to his energy because he’s fun to be with. BrightO won’t say much but the little he would say will make it to top trends of the day. We think he’s smooth and smart as well.
