Funeral for Anthony Joshua’s Close Friends Scheduled for Sunday at London Mosque

The Janaza (funeral) prayer for Sina Ghami and Abdul Latif Kevin Ayodele, both close associates of boxing star Anthony Joshua, will hold on Sunday, January 4, 2026.

The bodies of Ghami and Latif, popularly known as “Latz,” were returned to the United Kingdom after a fatal road accident in Nigeria.

The prayer service is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. at the London Central Mosque, located at 146 Park Road, London NW8 7RG.

A statement released on Saturday by Boxing King Media confirmed the arrangements and expressed condolences, noting that thoughts and prayers remain with the families and loved ones of the deceased.

Ghami and Ayodele lost their lives in a tragic car crash on Monday, December 29, 2025. The accident involved Anthony Joshua, who sustained only minor injuries.

The crash occurred along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in the Makun area of Ogun State, when a Lexus SUV carrying Joshua collided with a stationary truck. Ghami, Joshua’s strength and conditioning coach, and Ayodele, his personal trainer, died at the scene.

The London funeral will give family members, friends, and members of the boxing community the opportunity to gather and pay their final respects.
