ELITES Publisher Launches Book on Princess R.U. Osula Mku-Atu’s Philanthropy

Publisher of The ELITES, Kemi Akinyemi, has released a new book on the philanthropic exploits of Princess (Dr.) Mrs. Rosemary Osula Mku-Atu, JP, FCICMN, AMBP-UN, a business mogul, philanthropist extraordinaire and scion of the Osula royal family of Benin Kingdom.

Akinyemi, a seasoned journalist, author and former assistant editor of TheNEWS, said the book titled; Princess (Dr) R. U. Osula Mku-Atu: A Peerless Beacon of Philanthropy is about a woman who, despite her pedigree and background, the blue blood that runs in her veins and her stupendous achievements, decided to live a life of service, putting smiles on the faces of others. Mku-Atu has also received several awards and honourary doctorate degrees from within and beyond the country because of her good works.

The book is not just like any other book one finds on a shelf. It is one with a difference. It tells in graphic details, the sterling qualities that made Mku-Atu tick, her humility in greatness, her dignity in service and how she goes about doing good regardless of the recipients’ ethnic or religious backgrounds.

Akinyemi wrote: “The book, Princess (Dr) R.U Osula Mku-Atu: A Peerless Beacon of Philanthropy is an inspiring story of how a woman turns greatness into service and at the end of the day, has been recognised by all and sundry for the good works she has done and continues to do.

“It’s a story of humility in greatness and greatness in humility. It shows indeed that nothing good, which includes service, charity, and philanthropy, goes unrewarded in society. She is indeed a beacon. She is not only a star, she shines light for others to follow.”

This amazing book is indeed the story of an extraordinary woman who has not only been decorated across the globe for her service to humanity but also deserves all the honours she has received. Like any book about legends, it is intriguing, given what the Benin princess has done for mankind and self.

An unputdownable read, readers will find it inspiring and interesting because of Mku-Atu’s life of selfless service, her sheer determination, her purpose-driven life and clarity of the prose. One thing that makes the book stand out is how she has turned her royalty into service and vice versa, her service into royalty. Her giant strides are indeed laced with royalty.

According to Akinyemi, “The book is a testament to the  incontrovertible fact that leadership is about service and lifting others. Mku-Atu has also proven that royalty is about service delivery, compassion and empathy.”

The book, which is loaded with tributes, paints a graphic picture of Princess (Dr.) Mrs. R.U. Osula Mku-Atu as a phenomenon philanthropist, a true friend of the poor, an emblem of hard work and a harbinger of hope.
