EbonyLife premieres Royal Hibiscus Hotel on February 4 to celebrate the season of love

Touching romantic comedy follows successful international debut at TIFF with Music-Food-Love festival to launch the film in Lagos.

In the midst of a record-breaking run as one of the producers of The Wedding Party 2: Destination Dubai, EbonyLife Films has announced the Lagos premiere of its new movie, The Royal Hibiscus Hotel. The event takes place on Sunday, 4th February 2018 at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, and promises to be an unforgettable evening.

Billed as a ‘Festival of Music, Food and Love’, the screening will be preceded by a concert, featuring the talented Johnny Drille, Reekado Banks and Tiwa Savage from Mavin Records, and other brilliant artistes, such as Tolani, Veentage Band, Kaline, Falana and Cobhams Asuquo, who created the film’s score.

Guests will be able to browse through the food hall, sampling a range of culinary delights, from Nigeria, across Africa and beyond. Some of Nigeria’s top chefs will be creating their signature dishes in a series of demonstrations, sure to excite foodies; while many of the world’s finest wines, spirits and liqueurs, such as Johnnie Walker and Baileys, will be available for tasting and pairing with interesting new flavours. Here’s a glimpse of the tantalising lineup: AJ’s Gourmet, Food Fashion Fusion, Chef Fregz, Chef Eros, Saheeto, KOTS, Indomie, Chef Imoteda, Hans & Rene, Salt Lagos and Loshes Chocolates.

The sights, sounds and taste of love will surround the event; from the sound of love songs, to a range of flirtatious activities for couples. And, of course, the climax of the whole evening will be an intimate screening of The Royal Hibiscus Hotel, undoubtedly one of the most romantic films ever made in Nollywood. Viewers will be entranced by its depiction of love for couples of every generation.

As always, there will be one of EbonyLife’s famous after-parties, refreshed by Cîroc vodka, for those who want to keep going until the early hours. The dress code is a simple one – a dash of Valentine red, with a lot of passion!
