Ooni of Ife to marry Ijebu princess Temitope Adesegun Monday

Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi will on Monday, October 24 marry another wife Temitope Adesegun, the palace has said.

His wife-to-be is an Ijebu princess, the Ooni’s spokesperson Moses Olafare said in a Facebook post on Sunday.

“Olori Temitope Adesegun Ogunwusi an Ijebu Princess cum Ile-Ife Queen. Tomorrow is the D-day,” he wrote.

The wedding comes just four days after the Ooni married the founder of African Fashion Week, Ronke Ademiluyi, who is the great-granddaughter of the 48th Ooni of Ife, late Oba Ajagun Ademiluyi.

The Ooni has in the past month and a few weeks been on a wedding spree.

Oba Ogunwusi has married five women since his marriage to Naomi Silekunola failed in December 2021.

The first-class king married Mariam on September 6, 2022; Elizabeth; Tobi Phillips on October 9, 2022; Ashley on October 14, 2022; and Aderonke on October 20, 2022.
