Minister of interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has written to the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) over an ongoing investigation bordering on alleged breach of the code of conduct for public officers.

Mr Tunji-Ojo was invited by the CCB to see interrogators on Tuesday at the bureau’s headquarters in the Federal Secretariat, Abuja at 11am.

However, CCB spokesperson Veronica Kato told PUNCH that Tunji-Ojo’s interrogation would be rescheduled for a later date following his memo to the bureau citing national assignment.

“Yes, the minister’s interrogation has been rescheduled. He wrote, asking that it be rescheduled because he has a national assignment, so it has been rescheduled for a later date,” Kato was quoted as saying.

Tunji-Ojo earlier said he stopped being a director in the company New Planet Projects in 2019.

The company is now reportedly managed by his wife.
