Mystery Surrounds Death of 15-Year-Old Girl Discovered in Gombe Bush

The police have confirmed the tragic killing of a 15-year-old girl, Aisha Abubakar, whose body was found in a bush on the outskirts of Kwami Local Government Area of Gombe State.

The case was reported around noon on Tuesday by the victim’s father, Malam Abubakar, who informed authorities that his daughter had been murdered. According to police accounts, Aisha left home on Sunday, January 26, 2026, at about 5:40 pm after being sent to purchase soya beans but never returned.

Police spokesperson DSP Buhari Abdullahi said the family raised concern over her disappearance before her lifeless body was discovered two days later in a bush near the village.

Detectives immediately visited the scene, documented the area, and began preliminary investigations. Initial findings, according to the police, suggest that the teenager may have suffered violence before her death.

The body was later evacuated to a medical facility for further examination to determine the exact cause of death.

The police have launched a full investigation into the incident and assured the public that efforts are underway to identify and arrest those responsible for the crime.
