“We Cannot Engage In Irrelevant Pre-Match Talking” – Ighalo Roars Ahead Of Eagles Clash With Zambia

Super Eagles’ striker, Odion Ighalo has revealed readiness not just on the side of the team but his personally to crush down the Chipolopolo of Zambia to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.

While acknowledging the fact that Zambia is a strong team, Ighalo said facing them on Saturday, October 7th, 2017 MUST give the Eagles a ticket to the World Cup.

Adding that he has to put in more effort since winning would give him his first shot at World Cup appearance.

Remember we told you yesterday that Super Eagles Captain, John Obi Mikel had also expressed optimism towards defeating the Chipolopolo, well, the entire team seems all ready to face Zambia.

Ighalo said:

“I’m happy to be called up again because it’s always a great honour to play for my country,” Ighalo said from his base in China.

“We know Zambia is a strong team and they will come with full determination in Uyo. We cannot engage in irrelevant pre-match talking but deliver on the pitch.

“I’ve never played at the World Cup and like my other colleagues, we all want to be in Russia, this is like a final for us.”

The Eagles top Group B of the qualifiers with 10 points while Zambia comes next with seven points.

The match takes place at the Akpabio’s stadium,  Uyo. This has got to be a must-win for the Eagles.
