MRH MAY 2017: MEET ANTONIA ALLY

Meet Antonia Ally, the twenty something year old Managing Director and CEO of “The How Foundation”, a non-profit organisation founded by Dr. Herbert Wigwe, the MD/CEO of  Access Bank in January 2016 with special focus on Malaria, Prostate Cancer, Youth Leadership and Mentorship.
This young and vibrant lady hails from Obudu in Cross River State but grew up in Lagos State as an only child raised by her grandmother of Danish national, Mrs. Sonja Ally.  Her grandmother is seriously involved in various charitable activities, and this inspired Antonia to get involved with the activities carried out by the distinguished International Women’s Society at the Ijebu Ode Children’s Home, SOS Children’s Village and many others as well as Amnesty International.  Armed with over five years of Sales and Marketing experience in the profit sector, Antonia is a seasoned professional with a Bsc. degree in Business Management and Marketing from Brunel University, United Kingdom.
The How Foundation has carried out a number of campaigns focused at impacting on the lives of thousands of Nigerians, from from distribution of 2,000 free malaria nets to the Isiokpon Community in Edo State, performed Rapid Malaria Tests, distributed one million malaria prevention and treatment drugs to women and children and educate them on how to use these kits at the Arrow of God Orphanage. It also carried out Leadership and Mentorship Seminars at various Secondary Schools. It’s most recent project is its partnership with Children Great Talent (GCGT)- Africa’s biggest gospel children and youth talent competition. An initiative of the City of David Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God that continues to identify and celebrate talents in children and young adults from age 5 to 20 years.
Give Malaria No Place- Omuademe, Port-Harcourt, Rivers State On Saturday 18th February 2017, “The How Foundation” in Partnership with Doctors Save A Life Foundation, set off to the town centre of Omuademe in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State and the market places to educate the people on proper malaria prevention habits. The foundation also did rapid malaria screening tests and provided the people with free medicines. The HOW Foundation Presents Prizes to Outstanding Students of St Gregory’s College Sometime at the end of 2016, a call was made for students who had made excellent grades in their results, to send in their results so that they may receive a prize and on Tuesday, February 14th 2017, we did just that.
Two brilliant students of St Gregory’s College, Ojeaga  Aidenomoehi and Gbegaje  Danrome, were proud recipients of brand new laptops as a result of their excellence. They could barely contain their excitement and their parents were beaming with joy as well.  Apart from the parents and guardians of the two students, CEO of The HOW Foundation, Antonia Ally presented the prizes with the support of motivational speaker, Mr Joshua Ajitena at the prize giving ceremony.
