Mr Ibu is Currently Working on a Movie That Tackles Xenophobia

Nollywood comic actor, John Okafor popularly known as Mr Ibu has disclosed that he is currently working on a movie project that tackles the aches of xenophobia.

According to Vanguard, Mr Ibu is currently in South Africa currently and also revealed that majority of the actors will be South Africans while the others will be pooled from Nigeria, Botswana, Liberia, Kenya and Ghana.

He stated his intention towards making the movie is to turn tables around and help in promoting peace on the long run. The movie will be shot in South Africa, Kenya and Botswana.

Pre-production and scripting is ongoing while the plots will be later discussed with director and technical crews when he returns to Nigeria.

Auditions are expected to hold in concerned countries to ascertain eligible casts that would feature in the movie.

Mr. Adetola Olubajo, President, Nigeria Union, said the body would partner with Okafor on a social cohesion programme. “ We are planning a programme aimed at creating synergy and social cohesion between Nigeria and South Africa. “ It will take place next year and we want Okafor to be part of it,” he said.
