Lauryn Hill Secures Her First Ever Fashion Campaign

[ad_1]

Lauryn Hill isn’t just a fashion icon, she’s now also a fashion designer.

The 43-year-old Grammy winner teamed up with American outdoor apparel brand Woolrich to not only star in her first clothing campaign, but also design a capsule collection.

According to Woolrich’s press release, Hill has been sewing and designing her own clothing for the past five years. For her collaboration with the brand, Hill sketched more than 30 jacket designs, logos, concepts and materials.

The final product? Two limited-edition coats featuring collages of the musician and the cover of her iconic “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” album, along with plenty of embellishment.

In the accompanying campaign video, Hill pairs her bespoke coats with bold makeup for a stroll through Washington Heights, where she shot her “Doo Wop (That Thing)” music video in 1998.

Hill is currently on tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of her groundbreaking album.
