“I Don’t Make Music For Accolades…I just Do Me” – Omawumi Declares as She Covers Vanguard Allure

Singer Omawumi rose to fame after West African Idol in 2007 ending up as the first runner-up right behind Timi Dakolo who won the music contest. She has since proven to be a force to reckon with as she has churned out hit singles in the past that made her a household name. With her recent album which encompasses trueness to the African sound, Omawumi has finally decided to let everyone know that she doesn’t do music for accolades or for the ‘Queen’ title as she covers Vanguard Allure. She posted a picture on her Instagram to reaffirm her stance on the type of music she makes while she thanks fans who’ve loved her regardless.See the post below:

I’m not one for accolades (Queen, Empress, Mama music etc)… I just do ME the best way I know how and love myself unapologetically. I’m thankful for how far I’ve come, I’m thankful for the fans who love me, I look forward to doing greater things. ? @gyasi_media ? @tooshmebeauty #newvisualscomingsoon #TimelessAlbum #Timelesswoman
