Apple Most Profitable Company Second Year in a Row

Fortune, who annually ranks the 500 biggest companies in the world in its Fortune 500 list, has declared Apple the most profitable company in the world for the second year in a row.

The company, headed by Tim Cook, raked in a profit of over $45bn.

The company also ranks No. 9 on the overall Fortune 500 list of the biggest companies in the world.

Walmart tops the Fortune 500 list, with Toyota at 5, Samsung at 15, Alphabet (Google) at 65, and Microsoft at 69.

Apple’s fortune had changed for the better after founder Steve Jobs, who was ousted, returned to the company.

Profits started growing when the iPod was introduced, and even more when the iPhone came.
